055: Departure

On the evening of August 29th, a heavy rain fell on Shanhai City. The hot air was washed away by the rain, and the air was fresh and refreshing the next day. Wang Cheng originally expected to go back to Guanjia Village at night, but the rain changed his plans.

On the morning of the 30th, Mama Wang took over the housekeeping, and the mini pig was also temporarily taken care of by her. Papa Wang personally took Wang Ziyu to the city to meet with Wang Cheng. He was afraid that they would miss the plane by mistake, so Wang Cheng asked them to come early.

This was not the first time that Papa Wang had come to the city. Because the children stayed at home obediently, even Mama Wang had been here several times.

But it was his first time at Wang Ning’an’s apartment.

It had an upscale luxurious atmosphere, with modern furniture everywhere. At night, when looking out from the balcony, one could see a gorgeous view. Living in such a place was really a treat.

Wang Ziyu was excited and looked everywhere.

Papa Wang was more stable. Living at his age, he didn’t value money so much. Although big cities had a bustling and lively atmosphere, the environment was not as good as the countryside. Just as many people pursued money, they slowly pursued the quality of the living environment.

Wang Ziyu didn't bring much luggage. Her suitcase was black and claimed to be resistant to dirt when she bought it. It was medium in size and could hold a lot of clothes.

At noon, Wang Cheng personally cooked lunch for them.

Papa Wang wanted to simply eat something, so Wang Cheng didn't have to do much.

Wang Cheng also had the intentions of making something simple, but considered it again, because it was also his first time to take an airplane; he checked some information online.

There were meals for passengers on the plane, but online reviews said that it was not delicious, so he planned to bring something to eat. He put some cooked food in insulated boxes, such as dumplings, buns, and roast wheat, which happened to be last night’s leftovers. After eating the dumplings, Wang Cheng made some more.

The three had lunch and left after an hour of rest.

Shanhai City's subway was not fully constructed, so they could only take the bus. If Wang Cheng could get a driver's license, it would be more convenient to drive by himself.

It only took half an hour’s ride from Tranquil Community to Shanhai Airport. Although at this time it was very hot, there were a lot of people at the airport. As soon as they entered, there was air conditioning, and the whole person became much cooler.

This was only the second time for Wang Cheng to go there, and they weren’t very familiar with it. Fortunately, they still had one hour to go. According to the instructions of the airport, they had to go around and find the flight they want to take. Five or ten minutes before they checked tickets, there were already passengers waiting in line at the ticket gate.

"Fortunately, second brother had foresight, and told us to go out early, otherwise we may not have been able to catch up." Wang Ziyu sighed.

Because father Wang couldn’t board, he was separated from them at the beginning and went home by car alone.

"Don't say a word, sit down and rest for a few minutes, and wait for them to call us to board the plane." Wang Cheng took her suitcase and found an empty seat to sit down.

Wang Ziyu followed, not understanding anything. She could only follow her second brother. In her eyes, even though second brother didn't understand anything, she felt that her second brother knew everything. After arriving, they started to queue up for ticket checking. Most people were going to Beijing. Some people were just like them and were going to Beijing for college, but they were accompanied by their parents.

After getting on the plane, they found their seats, one by the window, which Wang Ziyu took, and looked around with curiosity since she got on the plane. Wang Cheng himself sat beside her, and beside the aisle was a foreign man After the plane took off, there was a lot of noise, and there was a feeling of weightlessness, similar to when one took the elevator.

It took more than two hours from Shanhai City to the Imperial Capital and then driving to Beijing University by car. They were likely to encounter the peak period of commuting. Even if it was past five o'clock, in a developed city like the imperial capital, the traffic flow was very scary; Shanhai City had let Wang Cheng experience it for a month or two.

At three o'clock, Wang Cheng took out his own dumplings.

The effect of the insulation box was very good. The dumplings were still hot when they are opened, and there was hot soup inside.

A few passengers nearby smelled the scent and looked towards them in surprise. Most people brought some buns or biscuits, or didn’t bring anything at all. Few people brought fragrant dumplings because if they waited for too long, it wouldn’t delicious, and the scent would flood the population.

"Very fragrant." A foreign man saw the crystal clear dumplings in his box and bluntly praised him. He spoke Chinese, but with a strange accent.

"Thank you." Wang Cheng gave his sister a few, and when he saw the hungry gaze of the foreign man, he asked, "Do you want to try?"

"Can I? Thank you very much." The foreign man rejoiced.

Wang Cheng smiled and gave him a few dumplings.

After eating some, the foreign man praised him, saying that these were the best dumplings he had eaten after coming to Shanhai City. The taste was delicious and the portion sufficient. The two talked for a while, and Wang Cheng learned that he came to Shanhai City to travel.
