089: Delivery
Papa Wang was relatively familiar with this. Wang Cheng gave him all the seeds he bought. He planned to give all the land in the north mountain to Papa Wang. He only needed to be responsible for the follow-up events after the growth of the medicinal plants.
After having breakfast, Wang Cheng went to the fruit mountain with his eldest aunt and cousin.
The planting on the fruit mountain was a relatively large amount of work. When the weeds were cleared the other day, everyone was very tired. Wang Cheng gave them a small bonus for their hard work, and the group of people worked harder.
The fruit mountain was divided into several areas for fruit trees: plum trees, persimmon trees, pear trees, etc. Recently, chestnut and hawthorn trees had also gradually matured. The chestnuts and hawthorn trees were distributed on the mountain, and the total area was no more than the area of the plums. The trees were small.
Wang Cheng followed his eldest aunt to this fruit area. Looking around, there were wild chestnuts, dropping, and then went to the hawthorn tree; the red hawthorns hung on the tree, bright and dripping. The edible and medicinal value of these two fruits were higher than those of the plums and persimmons.
Autumn was a busy season.
At the end of the day, Wang Cheng had picked a few large baskets of chestnuts, and there were also many hawthorns. Seeing that the sun was about to go down, Wang Cheng asked everyone to pack their things and prepare to go down.
Several large baskets of chestnuts and hawthorn were placed at home, and there was a bunch of fruit. Mama Wang sent a lot of it, and nearly all the neighbors nearby had received them. Now, Wang Cheng’s family’s faces were happy giving a lot of the fruit out, except for some that they left for home. Wang Cheng intended to find a buyer to sell them to. Although the chestnuts could be kept for a long time, the hawthorns could not be.
The next day, Mr. Xu, the manager of the food packaging factory, called to inform him that the first batch of jam had been packaged, so he could pick up the goods at any time. Wang Cheng said goodbye to his parents and left. Manager Xu had been waiting for him after receiving his call.
"Manager Xu, is there someplace I can borrow a warehouse nearby?"
Wang Cheng intended to put most of the processed food in the warehouse in the future, so that it would be more convenient to pick up the goods. Although there was a market in the Guan’s Village, it was not large after all. Manager Xu was familiar with things and he could just ask him.
Upon hearing this, Manager Xu knew that he wanted to find a place to put the food, and immediately said, "There are some nearby, but they are rented out. If Mr. Wang doesn't dislike it, there is an empty warehouse in our factory."
"Can you take me to see it?"
"Of course, please follow me." Manager Xu immediately showed him the way.
The warehouse of the packaging factory was not very large. There were only three in total. All of them were on the first floor for the convenience of picking up goods. However, two of them had already been stored. One of them was also leased to others. The remaining one was the vacant warehouse that Manager Xu mentioned. The warehouse was not closed. There was a small ventilated iron window on the wall. Adults could not sneak in. Because it was not used, the warehouse had not been equipped with a lock. If Wang Cheng intended to rent it, he could provide a lock.
After looking at it, Wang Cheng was very satisfied. The warehouse was not dark and wet, and he didn’t have a lot of jam. This warehouse is just right, and they would increase the production capacity in the future.
"This warehouse is fine, I'll rent it."
Manager Xu immediately took Wang Cheng to his office and took out the contract for renting the warehouse from the drawer. After confirming that it was correct, Wang Cheng signed his name. Manager Xu gave it a lot cheaper than he thought he would. Since the other party intended to make this agreement with him, he had no reason not to sign.
After that, Manager Xu asked the factory workers to move Wang Cheng's jams into the warehouse. The jams were in groups of 24 cans with a total of 37 groups, which could not occupy much space after being put in.
After Wang Cheng left, he called Lin Yue first and told her that the follow-up of the jam had been completed, and asked her how much jam she would like to place an order of.
She couldn't see him face to face, but Lin Yue on the side of the phone was surprised by his words. She thought it would take at least half a month to receive his call. As a result, she didn’t have to wait for a week. Then she asked Mr. Wang to send her two sets of plum sauce and persimmon sauce. The four groups were not much, but because the harvest of the fruits was different, the prices were different. The price of the plums were more expensive than that of the persimmons, but the total price was not more than 700 yuan.
Afterwards, Wang Cheng called several other supermarkets, but one of them was unbelievable. The person in charge of the supermarket told him that he had been introduced to a batch of jams a few days ago. He didn’t need the jams now, and it was estimated that they would not be needed in the future. Wang Cheng was not surprised, and he was not interested in doing business with untrustworthy merchants. Although he had contacted four supermarkets, they did not require as much as Lin Yue, and he sold only 14 sets in total.
Manager Xu heard that he was going to move fourteen sets of jam to the car, and he asked his staff to handle it. The trunk and the back seats were almost full.
Wang Cheng was prepared to wait until his reputation became known. Then he would consider buying a delivery car. After half an hour, the car arrived at Renchang Supermarket. Wang Cheng got out of the car and moved out the four sets of jams. Lin Yue happened to be in the supermarket and confirmed that there was no problem with the goods. They settled the bill directly.
"If the jam sells well, I will call Mr. Wang again."
Conversely, if it didn’t sell well, she wouldn’t contact him.
"I hope to receive good news from Boss Lin." Wang Cheng said honestly, and walked away very smartly. The second supermarket was not far from Renchang supermarket. He wanted to deliver the jams to the other three supermarkets as soon as possible. If there was still time, he could go to Chu Yifeng.
"Ah Yue, this guy is the salesman named Wang Cheng that you mentioned last time?" The female manager of the supermarket walked to Lin Yue. Even after listening to the employee say that the boss made an agreement with a young man who came to sell, and would order from him, she still didn’t believe it. The other party’s origin was unknown, and they were doing food business. Reputation and integrity were very important. If something went wrong with the food, the consequences would be disastrous.
"It's him." Lin Yue nodded.
"He looks good, but Lin Yue, you seem to be forty years old." The female manager joked.
"You also know that I am old. Most of these handsome guys already have girlfriends. Even if I rush to snatch them, they may not want me, let alone that I am a divorcee." Lin Yue was not angry, but instead teased herself.
The female manager, in fact, was actually a good friend of Lin Yue. When she heard her say that, she answered, "So what? Now there are many young people who are open to money. It is rare to find a rich woman."
"You are right, but I don't think that this Wang Cheng is included."
"How do you know?"
"The car he drove just now was more than 200,000 yuan. Why would anyone who could afford this be short of money? If it’s just for delivery, it’s enough to buy a truck. In addition, his clothes are also not cheap." Lin Yue could also be considered rich, and she still had this point of vision.
Today was the first time that Wang Cheng wore his clothes bought in the Imperial Capital. Because he had to go out and deal with people in several supermarkets, he wanted to take care of his image, so he changed into this suit. Yue recognized it at a glance.
"Then why did he deliver it in person?" The female manager was puzzled.
"When he comes back next time, you can ask him." It was just that it wasn’t for sure that the next delivery person would be him.
When the two were talking about Wang Cheng, he had already gone to the second delivery place, and staff from the remaining three supermarkets came to help. By the time the delivery was finished, it was already past than four in the afternoon, a little earlier than he expected. Being a delivery man was really hard work.
Wang Cheng parked the car in a temporary parking space on the side of the road and was ready to make a phone call to Chu Yifeng. Unexpectedly, however, Chu Yifeng’s phone may have been off and the call didn’t go through. He decided to call Yuan Xia’s number, because he didn't know what happened to him after that thing last time.
"Wang Cheng?"
"It's me, how are you doing now?"
Yuan Xia heard his concern, and his heart warmed. "What else can I do? After telling him about it, he wants me not to go to school, so that I can stay at home every day to keep him assured."
"It's nice to have someone feel hurt for you." Wang Cheng was envious.
"Is there anything to envy? You have it now, too. Doesn't your boss care for you?" Yuan Xia laughed.
"Him? Don't mention him. It hurts, but it hurts me." Wang Cheng blurted out. After speaking, he realized that he had said something that he shouldn't say, and quickly switched the subject. "What, then you’re staying at home now?" His tone was dry.
How could such a poor technique conceal anything from Yuan Xia? He couldn’t help laughing.
"Teacher Yuan, don't laugh." In the car, Wang Cheng held his forehead weakly. His mouth was too fast. He said nothing when he didn't respond for a while. It was too shameful.
Yuan Xia's answer was to laugh louder.
A few seconds later, Wang Cheng heard another man's voice coming from his mobile phone. Yuan Xia's laughter was much lower. It should be that his lover came back. He immediately said, "Teacher Yuan, your man is back. Do this first, and we’ll talk next time."
After speaking, he hung up without waiting for a response. When Wang Cheng just breathed a sigh of relief the phone rang. He thought it was Chu Yifeng, but when he picked it up, it wasn't him.
