129: Discovered

Mama Wang got up early in the morning, cleaned the house and made breakfast as usual, and then went out to buy groceries. When she returned, Papa Wang had not yet got up. Mama Wang thought he was sleeping, so she went to the room and prepared to wake him up. However, she found that his body was a little hot as soon as she touched his arm. She checked him with a thermometer, and it turned out that he had a fever. He might have gone out when it was cold last night. "Child’s father, get up and drink a bowl of ginger soup." Mama Wang boiled a bowl of ginger soup in the kitchen and brought it into the room for him to drink.

Papa Wang was awake, and when he learned that he had a fever, he couldn’t help but sigh. His body had always been healthy, and he rarely got sick. He never thought he caught a cold so easily this time. He drank the ginger soup, the temperature was just right. Mama Wang had deliberately lowered the temperature with cold water.

"You rest at home today, I'll go by myself." Mama Wang said directly.

Papa Wang could only say yes.

Mama Wang told the sick child’s father a few things before going out. The road to the jam factory was a bit long, so she went to the jam shop first. She came out very early, leaving the Guan’s Village just after 7:30. The four employees had to arrive at 9:00. When she arrived at the jam shop, it was just over eight o'clock, and the shop had not yet opened its doors to do business.

Mama Wang took out the key she borrowed from Papa Wang to open the door. The shop door was small and it didn’t make a loud noise when one entered. She put the breakfast that she brought in the kitchen. She started to boil the five-spiced tea eggs and warm the pork sausage rolls. Then, she saw the messy sofa and coffee table, and couldn’t help shaking her head.

"This kid ..."

Mama Wang thought that Wang Cheng was a clean person, but it turned out to be like this when he lived alone. Mama Wang moved the kitchen utensils on the table, took a wet cloth, and wiped the table twice. She was ready to sweep the floor after packing, but couldn’t find the broom and dustpan and went upstairs to look for it.

The space on the second floor was not as large as downstairs, but there were also two small attics and two rooms. The door of one of them was closed. Instead of knocking on the door, Mama Wang went to the large balcony. What she was looking for was really on the balcony, and she picked up the broom and dustpan. However, when she turned around, she was attracted by the clothes over her head.

"What?"

Mama Wang looked up at the clothes fluttering with the morning breeze in surprise. Why were there two sets of clothes? She thought they were both her son’s, but she soon noticed that the two outfits were different in size, one of them was obviously a size larger than her son’s. Did someone stay here last night?

Mama Wang looked at her son’s room in suspicion. If there was, shouldn’t Chengcheng have called them last night to say that there was someone in the other room? However, she had already seen the open door of the room; no one was sleeping there.

Mama Wang unexpectedly turned around and tiptoed towards the door. In the past, she would simply grab the door handle and open it, but now, she had an unknown panic, in case of what would happen when she opened the door. She hoped not to see what she didn’t want to see and prayed that her son would lock the door to sleep as usual. However, when the door handle turned, her feeling of anxiety deepened.

Through the door gap, Mama Wang saw a large bed in the small room that could sleep two people. There were two people sleeping on the bed, both of them with their upper bodies bare, and her son was leaning on the other, sleeping soundly on his shoulders. Looking up, she saw a familiar face. It was Chu Yifeng, whom the husband and wife had once familiarly nicknamed.

Five claps of thunder were not enough to express the shock in her heart.

Mama Wang looked at this scene in disbelief. All her little doubts in the past appeared at this moment. Even if she had never been in contact with homosexuality, she could see that the relationship between the two was unusual. It was too much to pass for just friendship.

Her body shook. Mama Wang supported herself on the wall and tried not to make a sound. When her mood calmed a little, she closed the door gently and slowly went downstairs.

In the room, Chu Yifeng opened his eyes when she closed the door. He glanced in the direction of the door, then closed his eyes.

Mama Wang left as quietly as when she came, but the lower floor was as messy as before. She suddenly discovered such a shocking truth and couldn't accept it for a while. She no longer had the intentions to help Wang Cheng clean the floor, and stumbled away.

When it was almost nine o'clock, Wang Cheng woke up due to the dazzling light from the outside. It was rare for him to get up at this time, when Chu Yifeng had done too much last night.

Lifting the quilt, cold air suddenly hit Wang Cheng and he shivered. His body under the quilt was covered with traces of blue and purple, it was a bit intense last night. However, Chu Yifeng did not bear any less, Wang Cheng scratched him hard last night.

Wang Cheng put on his pajamas that were on the ground, and when he went downstairs, saw that Chu Yifeng was wearing home clothes and boiling water. There was heating in the house; he decided to turn it on after waking up so it was not too cold. "Go to take a shower. I have turned on the water heater in the bathroom. The temperature is just right as of now."

Without saying a word, Wang Cheng turned his head and took new clothes, going to take a shower. They did it twice last night and he tiredly fell asleep. Although Chu Yifeng wiped it off, he still felt a little weird and dirty.

Fifteen minutes later, Wang Cheng appeared neatly dressed at the dining table. Two spiced tea eggs were placed in front of him, as well as a few pork sausage rolls, and there was fragrant soy milk, buns, and pumpkin cakes, which was in all more fulfilling and rich than he thought.

He picked up a tea egg and knocked it on the table, peeling the shell and asking, "When did you get up, why did you buy so many things?"

Chu Yifeng first ate a bun and a pumpkin cake before drinking a cup of soy milk. Those who paid attention to health knew that soy milk should not be eaten on an empty stomach. It was best to eat something first, and then drink soy milk. After drinking, he replied, "I didn't buy tea eggs and pork sausage rolls at 8:10."

"Who bought it?" Wang Cheng took a bite of the peeled tea eggs after asking this sentence, but he didn't need to answer. He had already tried the eggs. There was no second person with this craftsmanship but his mother. The instant he realized, the other half of the tea egg almost fell from his hand, and he looked at Chu Yifeng blankly, "My mother just came?"

"If your mother brought this, that should be correct. When I got up, I saw these things in the kitchen already. It’s either your mother or your father."

Chu Yifeng said this, because of course, he wasn't going to tell Wang Cheng that he knew Mama Wang had come.

"I’m dead." Wang Cheng was dumbfounded. In the end, the half of the tea egg failed to escape its fate of falling on the floor, and its yolk was broken on the ground.

He never in a thousand calculations expected that his parents would come over. They must have been seen by one of them, otherwise, why should they come and not call him? In addition, this person was most likely Mama Wang, because if it was Papa Wang, he would definitely push the door open on the spot to wake them up. Only Mama Wang had the self-control to calm down on the spot. However, the worst case was that they both knew it, but the possibility of this was relatively low.

"This is for the better, it would have come sooner or later. This accident was not all bad," Chu Yifeng calmly analyzing.

Wang Cheng glared at him. The person who found them was not his parent, so he spoke nicely. Chu Yifeng laughed and said nothing.

Wang Cheng didn’t want to eat anymore. After a short hesitation, he immediately called Papa Wang. He didn’t answer the phone right away. In the past, after only two or three rings, Papa Wang would answer. Just when Wang Cheng thought that Papa Wang was the one who had come to the shop, the call connected.

"Ahem, Chengcheng, what’s the matter?" Papa Wang’s coughing could be heard over the phone.

Wang Cheng was taken aback, "Dad, are you sick?"

"Aye. I accidentally got too cold yesterday and got a fever this morning, with a little cough. Good thing your mother boiled a bowl of ginger soup for me. This made it much better. Right, your mother went to see you in the morning and brought you breakfast, have you eaten it?"

"Ate." Wang Cheng was silent. The person who came was his mother. The little doubt in his heart disappeared instantly, and he told Papa Wang to take care of his body before hanging up the phone.

Wang Cheng hugged his head. "It's over. It's over. My mother knows my relationship with you. What should I do now? My mother is the most difficult person in my family, but she’s the first to find out. She won’t accept us. It won’t take long for a showdown. What should I say? Should I say that I am really just friends with you, but because you imprint on beds, I let you sleep in a bed with me? I don’t believe it myself."

"What you should think about now is how to get your mother to accept our relationship, not make excuses." Chu Yifeng said.

"Trying to get my mother to accept us is harder than someone with back pain trying to stand up with no reaction." Wang Cheng wanted to punch him.

If it was so easy, he need not worry now.

"It had to come sooner or later."

Wang Cheng was silent for a while. He was right, but he didn't expect it would come so fast, and he wasn't prepared for it right now.
