233: Loving Intentions
"Elder brother, Doctor James will come over with his assistants tomorrow morning. I am going to pick them up at the airport." Wang Cheng picked up a piece of spicy eggplant and put it in his mouth.
Wang Ning'an ate a mouthful of rice, and after a while, said, "I'll go with you." Although the person could only be invited through a relationship, he still had to go in person to show his sincerity. That was a basic rule in life.
Wang Cheng suddenly raised his head and stared at him, as if he wanted to say something but couldn't.
“Why are you always watching me, I don’t have rice on my face, do I?" Wang Ningan could feel his gaze without looking up.
"It's more serious than rice grains." Wang Cheng shrugged and asked tentatively: "Elder brother, have you offended anyone?"
"Just say it."
Wang Cheng bit his chopsticks. "Well, when I came to look for you just now, I saw someone taking pictures of you with a camera. Our auntie just came to the Imperial Capital, so it could not be aimed at her. I don’t know if it’s your enemy. I’ve written down the license plate number of that car."
Wang Ning'an frowned, not expecting this, "I have business competitors, but I am seldom enemies with others. They shouldn’t be my enemy. You tell me the license plate number, and I will find someone to privately check and see why someone is spying on me."
After eating, Wang Cheng gave him the license plate number he had written. However, he still felt uneasy: what if it really was an enemy? He was worried that his eldest brother could not handle it alone, so when he went to take a bath, Wang Cheng took the license plate number and sent it to his brother's cell phone, asking him to check it out. Zheng Jingen quickly called in reply.
"Chengcheng, did something happen?"
Wang Cheng glanced in the direction of the bathroom, walked to the balcony, and briefly explained what happened.
"Are you sure you didn't read it wrong?"
"My vision is 20/20, how could I get it wrong? I was only 30 meters away at the time, so I'm pretty sure."
"Okay, I will give you an answer as soon as possible."
"I’m troubling you, brother."
"It's just a trivial matter. Do you want to talk to our mom?" Since his brother had said so, how dare Wang Cheng say no? Otherwise, Mother Zheng would get very sad. He felt that Mother Zheng was very likely to be putting her ear on the phone and listening in. Sure enough, as soon as he gave an affirmative response, Mother Zheng’s voice came over.
That night, Wang Cheng was going to stay there and sleep, but before that, he had to brief Pan Zhihai on his work for the next morning.
Yazhi’s business was booming now that he was chairman. Because assistants were lacking, Yazhi still had to recruit workers. After hiring assistants, they might not be able to immediately work. Many of them needed seniors to take them on for a while before they could be assigned to other artists, and so on.
Fortunately, Wang Cheng’s previous act of killing the chicken for the monkey to see had left an impression. Since Fang Hui had been expelled, those who were unrighteous did not dare to be the first bird.
The next morning, Wang Cheng woke up to see that breakfast was ready.
There was a note written by his first aunt on the dining table. She had just taken breakfast to the hospital, and the food on the table was reserved for them to eat while it was still hot. There were also two bottles of milk, which were ordered by Wang Ning'an and were delivered every morning.
Wang Cheng seldom drank milk, and he thought it was the same as the milk he had drunk before. As a result, his first sip tasted strange, very sour and smelly, as if it had fermented. He almost spit it out.
Wang Ning'an got up a few minutes later than him. When he saw the bottle of milk left on the table, his eyes fell on Wang Cheng, who was calmly eating cakes. "Don't waste food, drink it up."
Wang Cheng almost choked on his food, "Brother, I didn't drink."
Wang Ning'an glanced at him and calmly pointed out, "Our first aunt doesn't like to drink this yogurt, but still stayed strong and finished a bottle last time."
"I don't like to drink it either," Wang Cheng muttered. If he knew, he would have already mixed it into his food. This kind of yogurt was really smelly, kind of like milk pudding, but pudding was better.
Forced to drink the whole bottle of yogurt, Wang Cheng was dazed when he left. The car that secretly photographed Wang Ning'an had left yesterday, and there were no other suspicious vehicles nearby. Because there were a lot of people coming, the two of them each drove a car. They arrived at the airport at exactly 10:30, but the plane hadn't arrived yet, so the two waited for another half hour before the airport hall finally gave the update that James’ plane had landed.
A large number of passengers gushed out from the entrances and exits, and there were many international passengers. In an international metropolis like the Imperial Capital, foreigners were not an unusual species.
Wang Cheng leaned forward and scanned the foreigners who came out one by one, especially those in a group of a few people. When the crowd thinned, a few tall figures stood out from behind, which easily attracted many eyes. Wang Cheng’s gaze was caught by the man walking in the middle. The other person seemed to notice his gaze, and suddenly looked over. Chu Yifeng displayed a faint smile, and then said something to an older foreigner who seemed to be with him. The group of people looked over and sped up to reach them.
"Hello, Doctor James, nice to meet you. My name is Wang Ning'an," Wang Ning'an said in fluent English to that Doctor James.
James was a very kind old man. He smiled and shook hands with him, replying politely: "I am also glad to meet you."
"This is my brother, his name is Wang Cheng; both of us are family members of the patient. I am really sorry for troubling you." Wang Ning'an patted Wang Cheng, who was flirting with Chu Yifeng. Wang Cheng coughed twice before saying, "Hello, Doctor James."
The two shook hands in a friendly manner.
Chu Yifeng then introduced them to James' two assistants. The gentler one was called Bowen, and the other one, whose height was about the same as Chu Yifeng’s, was called Benson. Once outside of the airport lobby, Doctor James and Bowen got in Wang Ning’an’s car, while Chu Yifeng and Benson got in Wang Cheng’s car. Wang Cheng glanced at the handsome, blond assistant in the rearview mirror. He was afraid that no one would doubt it if he said he was a catwalk model, but a person with such a good appearance was only an assistant. As if noticing his gaze, the other party suddenly smiled at him.
Wang Cheng retracted his gaze and said to Chu Yifeng: "Why didn’t you say anything before coming over, is your company not busy anymore?"
"The important things have been dealt with, and the others can solve the rest. Eimer doesn’t raise useless people." Chu Yifeng closed his eyes as he said this, but his words were a bit domineering.
Wang Cheng saw a trace of fatigue between his eyebrows. He didn't know how much he had gotten done last night, so he stopped chatting with him and let him rest first.
They were staying at Jinding Hotel. James had been invited by them, so they also arranged his accommodations. Wang Cheng took advantage of his identity to book three rooms. He had told his grandpa about this, and when he heard that he invited the famous Doctor James, his grandpa became a little surprised.
After arranging these things, Wang Ning'an went to take care of a meeting, and Wang Cheng left with Chu Yifeng. Without outsiders present, he wasn’t so scrupulous in speaking.
"You didn’t go and thieve last night, did you?"
"Yes, do you want to know what I stole?" Chu Yifeng admitted generously.
Wang Cheng saw that he admitted so easily, and grew a little skeptical, "What did you steal?"
Chu Yifeng suddenly opened his eyes and looked at him with a smile: "I stole someone's heart."
Wang Cheng was taken aback for a moment, then said in surprise: "Boss Chu, have you noticed that you are becoming more and more thick-skinned recently? It’s a little uncomfortable when you’re so thick-skinned, my goosebumps have already risen."
"Then I won't say such things later."
"It’s fine." Wang Cheng said quickly: "You have been so thick-skinned a few times, maybe I will be able to adapt to it soon."
Chu Yifeng didn't seem to have slept much in the past few days. While he didn't have dark circles under his eyes, his face still looked like he hadn't slept. When he arrived at the apartment, he fell straight onto the sofa. Wang Cheng told him to go back to his room to sleep, as he could easily catch a cold in the living room. After he didn’t budge, Wang Cheng directly carried him upstairs.
"You're so heavy!" Wang Cheng climbed up the stairs with him on his back, his back bent.
Chu Yifeng opened his eyes, and his gaze fell on the top of his black hair. It was not his first time to be carried by someone, but it was his first time to be carried by his lover. It felt unspeakably fresh.
When suppressed laughter sounded in his ears, Wang Cheng endured the urge to roll his eyes. "As a man, aren’t you embarrassed? You still have the ability to laugh now."
"It feels very good," Chu Yifeng said.
Wang Cheng hummed: "Really? How about we switch our positions in the future? If you agree, I can carry you on my back every day from now on, with absolutely no complaints."
Chu Yifeng seemed to guess that he had such an idea, and smiled: "Yes."
Wang Cheng was taken aback and turned his head abruptly. "Really?" After thinking about it, he felt that Chu Yifeng couldn’t agree so easily, and immediately dismissed it. "Don't think I don't know what you’re thinking. That kind of trick is useless on me."
"You said switching positions, what's the problem? There is no problem in trying out even ten positions."
When Wang Cheng heard this, he realized that he had made a mistake. He directly threw him on the bed when they arrived in the room. "You’re just buying it cheap and selling it well. Catch up on your sleep."
He turned around but his hand was grabbed. The next second he was dragged onto the bed, and the other turned over and pressed on him. Before, he had looked like a person who was too tired to walk, but Wang Cheng felt that he had been fooled.
When Wang Cheng raised his head, Chu Yifeng bit on his throat, causing it to become numb and itchy.
"Have you had enough? Aren't you tired? I have to go to the company this afternoon."
Without saying a word, Chu Yifeng just squeezed between his legs and blocked his mouth when he opened it. Warm, wet sounds rang in his ears, and as the sensitive spots on his body were touched, Wang Cheng’s strength disappeared. Two legs sandwiched his waist, and the friction of their pants caused his body to heat up. The tent in his pants felt uncomfortable. Such public lewdness, he had underestimated a certain someone's combat effectiveness.
The result of their agreement was a sore waist. Towards the end, Chu Yifeng used his exhaustion as an excuse to let Wang Cheng take the initiative to move, achieving his ‘wish’ to change positions.
...
Wang Cheng picked up the clothes he had thrown on the floor. The quality of his sleep was so good that it surprised him. By the time he woke up, it was 6 o'clock in the evening. He hadn't eaten lunch or dinner, and was so hungry that his stomach was grumbling. Chu Yifeng seemed to have slept better than him, as he was still sleeping deeply. It must have been really hard for him to drag him twice in a row when he had missed sleep for a few days, Wang Cheng thought while gritting his teeth.
There was no food in the refrigerator, so Wang Cheng resignedly put on his jacket and went out. When he came back, it was past seven o'clock, and Chu Yifeng hadn't woken up yet. After cooking, he went upstairs to wake him up.
"You haven't eaten the whole day today. Go back to sleep after eating." Wang Cheng filled a bowl full of rice and stuffed his chopsticks into his hand.
Chu Yifeng yawned. "You feed me."
"Okay." Wang Cheng didn't hesitate at all, took a green vegetable, and brought it to his mouth, "Boss Chu, open your mouth."
Chu Yifeng knew what he was thinking at a glance: "I prefer meat."
"How can you be so picky. This is my favorite green vegetable, are you trying to let down my good intentions?" Wang Cheng accused him.
Chu Yifeng reluctantly raised his hands and surrendered, "Alright, I surrender."
Wang Cheng said with a smile: "Before surrendering, eat this vegetable. This contains my love."
Chu Yifeng grabbed his chopsticks when he fed him the greens, and wet the chopsticks with his saliva. The corner of Wang Cheng's mouth twitched.
After eating, Wang Cheng went upstairs to change the quilt that had been soiled by them during the day. Their dirty clothes were then stuffed into the washing machine to wash. When he came back down, Chu Yifeng had already washed the dishes. The two discussed when Chu Yifeng’s grandparents were to come back.
